In October of 2010, I started having home shows. It was a great alternative to sitting out all day on Saturdays at craft fairs and harvest festivals, but hey, everyone's got to start some where. Since then I have done several home shows including my own open house in December. I really liked this method of displaying and selling the jewelry because everyone loves a little party and spending time with their friends and family! Here's how it works:
Call or email me and we can schedule a date that works for you on hosting a show. Weeknights work, but weekends are best. Seems like more people are free on a Saturday afternoon or evening, but I will work with whatever suits you best. A couple weeks before the party, I will mail out invites to your guests. However if you prefer to email them personally, that works too.
I will bring all the jewelry to your house, diplays and everything else needed to have a successful show. Guests are free to view the jewelry and try it on. It's a grown up version of dress-up.
Because you have made such an awesome decision to host a party, you will recieve a free gift of.....jewelry! What else? In addition to your free gift, you will also recieve 10% of your sales in free jewelry. If one of your guests books a show, you will receive one item 50% off redeemable the night of your party, or the night of your guest's party. It's that simple. From time to time, I will also have monthly specials which will be listed separate on this blog, and I will usually have a select few jewelry pieces on sale. Usually it would be pieces from the prior season, or pieces made from beads that my husband picked out and they were a little tricky to use, i.e. green panda bears. But I do appreciate all his help!
